May Book Selection

The North Providence Mystery Book Club will next meet on Tuesday May 4th at 7:00pm. We will be reading Death at La Fenice by Donna Leon. This story takes place in Venice Italy, and is the first book to feature Commissario Guido Brunetti. If you like reading mysteries, please join us.

April Mystery Book Club

The April meeting of the North Providence Mystery Book Club will be held on April 13, 2010 (the second Tuesday of the month for April only). We will be reading A Great Deliverance by Elizabeth George. This is the first book in the Inspector Lynley/Sergeant Havers series.

March Book Selection

The North Providence Mystery Book Club selection for the month of March will be The Alienist by Caleb Carr. This book includes, as one of the characters, Theodore Roosevelt, before he became President of the United States.
The book club will meet on March 2, 2010 in the Library's Conference Room.
Copies of the book will be available at the Circulation Department, ask anyone at the desk for a copy of the Mystery Book Club book.

February Book Selection

January Book Selection

The Mystery Book Club selection for January 2010 will be One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. This is the first book in the Stephanie Plum series, in which there is a total of 15 titles. We will read how Stephanie starts out as a bounty hunter, and meet the crazy characters in her life. Have a happy holiday season.

December Book Selection

We will be discussing Spiked by Mark Arsenault for the December meeting of the Mystery Book Club. We will be meeting on December 1, 2009 at 7:00 PM in the first floor conference room. If you would like to read this book, copies will be available at the circulation desk. Mark Arsenault is a local writer who was a reporter for the Providence Journal.
